Dr. Alessio Cangiano
Born 1973
Current position (since October 2005): Research officer at the ESRC Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (University of Oxford)Previous research experience: doctorate in demography from the University of Rome visiting the French Institute for Demographic Studies (INED) and the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (Germany) with Marie Curie research training funding. Consultant for the Italian Institute for the Study of Multienthnicity (I.S.MU.).
Research interests: labour migration in the UK and Europe; migrant workers in the health and social care sectors; local integration policies; causes of international migrations; comparative approaches to migration in Southern Europe.
