Prof. Dr. Harald Traue
Born 1950
Professor at the University of Ulm (Medical School), Head of the Department of Medical Psychology; Research Director of the RCTU, President of the German Psychological Pain Association (DGPSF), Vice-President of the German Pain Society (DGSS), member of several scientific associations and international advisory and editorial boards. Research expertise: medical psychology and psychobiology of emotion regulation, chronic pain, depression, stress, psychosomatic disorders and post traumatic stress disorders, public health research in illness prevention, transcultural psychosomatics, torture victims and migrants. More than 150 scientific publications and 11 books. Several grants from German Research Foundations.HCT was awarded the Human Rights Medal of the Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos México in 2001 and the Julius-Rumpf-Award of the Martin-Niemöller foundation in 2004.
