Director EcoDevelopment GmbH (Ltd), Chair of the Advisory Board Development Policy of the Berlin Government, Member of the Advisory Board of the Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Advisory Board of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs for global issues, Chair of the Society for International Development-Berlin Chapter (SID-Berlin)Professional experiences in migration issues:
since 2003: Working group on Migration, Diaspora and Development (In the SID-Berlin chapter and EcoDevelopment GmbH)
2007: International study on asylum policy, law and practices - an international comparision (For the Kombi Consult GmbH and the german ministry of labour and social affairs-BMAS in the context of the EU-Equals-Bridge project)
2008: Study on diasporas and their contribution to conflict prevention, conflict transformation and peace building in their countries of origin (For the Migration and Development Programme of the GTZ - German Technical Cooperation).
2008: International conference "Knowledge migrates: migration and know how - potentials for Berlin" (By the SID-Berlin chapter in cooperation with the Senate of Berlin)
2009-2010: Interdisciplinary research project on migrants and literacy learning (ABC: Arbeit und Grundbildung zur Chancenerhöhung) aiming to improve the literacy instruction, basic education and inter-cultural learning for illiterate adult migrants in Germany. (For the german ministry of education and research - BMBF)
2010-2011: Study on Diaspora Groups from the Horn of Africa (For the European Commission)
