Peter De Cuyper

Born 1975, Peter holds a master´s degree in sociology (Leuven, 1998). He is research manager at the Research Institute for Work and Society (HIVA) at the University of Leuven. His main research domains are labour market integration of migrants and (civic) integration policies. He has conducted several evaluations of the Flemish civic integration policies commissioned by the Flemish government.

Since 2012, Peter is coordinator of the work package efficiency and effectiveness of (civic) integration policies at The Policy Research Centre On Integration (funded by the Flemish Government) (www.steunpuntieni.be). The research agenda of this work package focuses on the evaluation of integration policies. That focus is twofold: on the one hand, the program focuses on mainstreaming the evaluation of Flemish integration policies, by means of developing an evaluation framework. On the other hand, it puts the framework into practice by conducting evaluations of several policy instruments such as cultural orientation, second language courses, vocational training, ...
