Prof. Dr. Cristina Allemann-Ghionda

Born in Rome in 1949 into a bicultural (Italian-German) family. Childhood and education in seven different countries. Working experience with migration since 1970, as a teacher, organizer of adult education for migrants, researcher, and then lecturer at the Universities of Zürich, berne, Geneva, Münster. Intercultural and comparative research including multilingual education. Professor of Comparative Education at the University of Cologne (since 2000).
