Volker Lichtenthäler

Project Manager eLearning in Capacity Development International InWEnt gGmbH in Bonn, Germany.

He has been delivered training throughout the world, including 5 years as a lecturer in Business-German at Dublin City University in Ireland and several months in Mexico and Brazil. He has been designing, developing and delivering courses in various subjects for a diverse mix of cultures and communities. He has also worked for 3 years as an Instructional Designer for Web Based Trainings at the Berufliche Fortbildungszentren der Bayerischen Wirtschaft gGmbh (Vocational Training Research Department).

Starting off in industry as a trained type-setter he also gained extensive experience in the media throughout his career, being responsible for the e-Commerce strategy of bbwonline, Nuremberg for 2 years. He holds a Masters´ degree in German Studies and Latin American Studies of the Free University Berlin, a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications in Education of Dublin City University and Postgraduate Certificates in Open and Distance Education/Applications of Information Technology of the Open University/UK. He also attended Intercultural Trainer Trainings at the LTS training and consulting in Bath, and at the Institute for Intercultural Communication of the TFH Wildau in Germany. In 1999 he was awarded the European Label for Innovation in Language Teaching and Learning by the Linguistics Institute of Ireland.
