2005 - 2006 Research Fellow, Research project: "Migration and development: the cases of Egyptian, Serbian and Afghan migrant communities in Germany". The project was funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).
2007 onwards Research Fellow, federal Office for Migration and Refugees, In charge of the folowing research projects: "Return from Germany to Russian Federation, Turkey and Caucaus region" and "Implementing the politics of migration and development in Germany: a qualitative study of a new migration policy field".
